Monitor & Analyze Machine's Health
Excessive vibrations during machining are one of the main sources for degrading the quality of your production. This system helps you keep your machine working in good condition.SafePilote MCM (Machine Condition Monitoring) allows you to ensure effective Conditional Predictive Maintenance. By using the 3-axis digital vibration sensor installed on the spindle, SafePilote MCM automatically monitors the health of the machine by daily analysis of vital mechanical parts. SafePilote MCM will day after day analyze the different mobile elements of your machine, such as spindles, bearings, axis and report you about their temporal evolution.

– Balancing check
– Shaft Geometry
Mounted on your machine’s spindle, this powerful system will allow you to record and store vibration data associated with the current machine condition or process quality.
– Ball screws and slides Analysis
SafePilote can be installed on any kind of machines: Machining centers, turning centers, grinding machines. It will provide you with valuable indications about the condition of your moving elements. Track axis wear and anomalies.
– Outer Ring
– Inner Ring
– Rolling elements
Keep an eye on spindle bearing condition by controlling vibrations in the 3 different axes. MCM is able to analyze up to three different kinds of bearing mounted in your spindle. Thanks to its high sensitivity, you’ll also be able to detect any balancing issue with your high speed tools.
The SafePilote system is easily installed on many types of machine tools – including machining centers, turning centers, and grinding machines. It can be used not only for machine protection, but it can also provide useful information about machine health. The system consists of two parts, a sensor installed at the back of the spindle and a processing unit installed in the electrical cabinet.
Encapsulated in a M12 housing, the 3-axis digital acceleration sensor is designed to be a true industrial product: compact and easy to install, it is connected to the processing unit by a removable cable. The digital communication link between the sensor and the processing unit is not affected by the environment: no need to take special precautions, the sensor cable can be mixed into the cable support system along with the power cables from the spindle.
The signal processing unit is mounted in the electrical cabinet of the machine tool. It connects to the PLC of the machine via a small number of digital inputs / outputs. A Profibus version is also available.
The digital 3-axis accelerometer is mounted on the spindle and is connected to the processor via a quick-disconnect cable.
Factories are becoming increasingly automated and self-monitoring as the machines within are given the ability to analyse and communicate with each other and their human co-workers, granting companies much smoother processes that free up workers for other tasks.
Smart factories, which will be at the heart of Industry 4.0, will take on board information and communication technology for an evolution in the supply chain and production line that brings a much higher level of both automation and digitization. It means machines using self-optimization, self-configuration and even artificial intelligence to complete complex tasks in order to deliver vastly superior cost efficiencies and better quality goods or services. With our systems, we are able to contribute to this goal.Safe Pilote PDF
