On all 18 stations of a transfer machine at PCI, WattPilote systems monitor every operation required for the fabrication of pivot wheel suspensions. In order to detect any divergence from specification, every pivot is monitored during its entire fabrication process. After a 12-month application period, a net profit gain could be demonstrated on every phase of the operations (milling, boring, tapping, and finish boring).
