Automatic lathe and turning centre

WattPilote Turning is a tool wear and breakage monitoring system specially designed for all turning machines.

One measurement from the axes, one measurement from the spindle

Today, the lathes and turning centre have a simple and efficient machining monitoring system. To control the machining as the most complex, WattPilote Turning can perform three measurements : Two measurements from the axes and one from the spindle. For each operation to control : one or several measurements are used (sometimes a combination).

To assure the productivity by reduction of machine downtime

This system has been developed to optimize the tool management on turning machines, to prevent tool breakage by detecting wear and chip entrapment and to stop the machine in case of a problem to avert further damage.

A guaranteed quality

WattPilote Turning stops the machine as soon as wear or chip entrapment is detected. Ensuring that all parts to process are carried out with a tool in good condition, WattPilote Turning ensures the production quality.

Compact, installed in the electric cabinet

WattPilote Turning combines three independant power measuring units in the same box, only the connection to the PLC is in common with the three measuring channels : so the system is very compact, and cabling is simple. This device is fitted in the electric cabinet, far away from the machining area and from interfering factors to assure its performances

Diagnosis and supervision on the screen

The Visu-CN-C software is a proper diagnosis and supervision tool integrated into the CNC. For each control, the operator can display the machining cycles, the tool wear level and also the fault curves. He can as well modify the control tolerances, acknowledge faults and the tool changes.
