See WattPilote Transfer applications
WattPilote Transfer has been especially designed for multi-station machines, which make few operations on each machining unit : multi-stations special and transfer machines.
The multi-spindle heads give high
performance of production, but tool
breakages, more difficult to detect than
on a one spindle head, cause serious consequences to the part quality and the
downtime of the machines. As solutions of
mechanical control are complex to put operational, WattPilote Transfer has been
designed to make sure of the machining
quality while keeping a high machine output
rate. Combining great measurement
accuracy with a powerful algorithm of control,
WattPilote transfer detects the breakage of
one drill in eighteen.
The monitoring is performed
in real time during the
machining, with no
consequence to the cycle
time. The tool breakage is
instantaneously signalled to
the machine.
Only one box, containing measurement sensors and the data-processing part, is connected into the electric cabinet : the system is easy to install and insensitive to perturbations due to the machining conditions (cutting oil, swarf, temperature, vibrations, electromagnetic pollution).
It is necessary to install one WattPilote transfer for each machining unit to control.
Self-contained, it has its own inputs/outputs
wired in the electric cabinet. The WattPilote
systems of the same machine are part of a
network and are connected to a central supervision system: this distributed intelligence
architecture is ideal with inputs/outputs
modules.
The Visu-CN-C software is loaded on an industrial supervision PC of the machine or on the CNC. The operator can display the machining cycles, the tool wear condition and the fault curves for each station. He can also modify the control tolerances, acknowledge faults and tool change.
