One spindle machining centre and special machine

WattPilote Single has been designed especially for one spindle machines using a significant number of tools: machining centre, special machine with tool changer.

Monitoring of critical machining

Often critical machining performed with small and fragile tools must be monitored. Due to the measurement accuracy associated with a special control algorithm, WattPilote can monitor all tools, even the smallest: controlling a 0.07 second machining with 1mm drill on 20kW spindle can be regarded as a fact.

To avoid waste, to extend tool life

The objectives of real time machining monitoring are to avoid waste, to increase tool life and to reduce time of machine stop.

Reduction of machine downtime

The 'high-performance' machine shops or machining centres with pallet changer can work by themselves: when tool wear or breakage is detected, the machine stops, changes the tool by a new one, then starts machining again, either on the same part or on the following part.

Resistant to environmental influences

Only one box, containing measurement sensors and the data-processing part, is connected into the electric cabinet : the system is compact, easy to install and resistant to environmental influences (cutting oil, swarf, temperature, vibrations, electromagnetic pollution).

Spindle preventive maintenance

First of all designed for machining monitoring, WattPilote can also periodically perform cycles to obtain spindle signature to detect a mechanical fault : ball-bearing wear, lubrication …

Diagnostic and supervision on control numeric

The Visu-CN-C software is a proper tool of diagnostic and supervision. User-friendly, it is loaded on the numeric control. The operator displays machining cycles, tool wear condition and fault curves. He can modify the control tolerances, acknowledge faults and tool change.
